Episode 17: Gnomes
This is a fairly good episode. It's not one of the greatest, but it still a bit better than what the standard has been so far. The episode addresses corporate takeovers as it's more serious side. The more comical side of the episode are Mr. Tweek's constant metaphors about his coffee and the whole debate. The Prop 10 commercial is amusing. It's hard to say anything else about this episode, it had few good jokes amongst those but nothing worth mentioning. I'll give this episode 4/10.
Episode 18: Prehistoric Ice Man
I don't know about this episode. It tries to be funny with treating 1996 guy as "Prehistoric Ice Man", but for me it didn't work. Most of the time you're just frustrated by the absurd idiotism of people treating 1996 guy like animal. Well, at least the part where he met his former wife raised some smiles on me. So I guess this falls into the 1-category of the ratings. It's watchable, but that's it. 1/10.
Revision: I don't know, the Britney's new look -episode set the bar much lower, so in fact I'd think it's more of a 2/10 episode. It's a bit dull, but still, I had good time watching it again. Besides, there's pretty unique Kyle-Stan -dynamic here. I wasn't as frushtrated as I was in my original viewing for this episode's absurdities, guess I'm getting used to it.
So, second season is now finished reviewing. It averaged rating of 3,33. So it's worse than first season, but not by that much after all. But maybe there's some truth in the fact that movie affected season two.
I guess I also watch the movie again and give it too review since it has it's place in the South Park timeline. The movie was released in the middle of the third season, but I guess it was pretty much made before the season started - so it's next in line. But not today.

Season Two Is Long (Episodes 14-16)
Episode 14: Chef-Aid
Well, what should I say.. It's once again one of those not too funny episodes, but I can't still say this sucked. It's interesting to hear about how Chef helped many artists in early days, there are couple of decent jokes thrown in there too. Chef is seemingly the most sane adult in South Park, yet he still thinks he could raise enough money by having sex with every woman in town. The record produced is shallow character, but you really start to hate him. I mean, he's so irritating and arrogant. You feel pleased when he loses the case in the end. The most famous joke in this episode is of course the Johnny Cochran's Chewbacca defence. What do I have to say about it.. Well, that does not make sense when you think about it.. 4/10.
Episode 15: Spooky Fish
It's the second Halloween-episode and I have to say it's golden. So many great moments here. Just the way it starts, Halloween episode couldn't start much better - some irrelevant alien gets ran over and then you see the scariest shit ever - nice Cartman. Besides, he looks ridiculous with that beard. So there's two Cartman which means twice as much fun - actually more than twice, since the good Cartman is so nice it makes you laugh even more than ordinary Cartman. Like when the boys haven't yet realized that there are two Cartmans and good Cartman (referred as evil Cartman in the episode) sings overly happy song about how good friends they are. I rarely laugh out loud, but this still made me do it. The spooky fish is really spooky and the episode manages at times to create the feeling that something's really fucked up. It's Hella good episode (have to use that one too) and I rate it.. 8/10.
Episode 16: Merry Christmas Charlie Manson
It's time for the Christmas-special and it pretty fucked up right there too. I said about the last episode that two Cartmans are twice as fun, and now you've got whole family of Cartmans. All the standard Cartman-traits are there and it works. But it's overall nothing nearly as good previous episode, but it's still fairly good. Who came up with the idea to link Christmas with Charlie Manson? I'll give this episode 5/10, pretty much because of the Cartmans..
So, leaves 2 episodes for the finisher. I'll probably make it tomorrow night.

Still Season Two (Episodes 11-13)
Episode 11: Roger Ebert Should Lay Off The Fatty Foods
So, apparently this episode is filled with Star Trek -references. I don't know shit about Star Trek, so I probably miss some jokes, like some of you missed the Godzilla-jokes in the "Mecha-Streisand". This episode had it moments, best being the Cartman's singing and "not picking his nose". Not to mention that Officer Barbrady as Elvis is just hilarious. But overall, it falls pretty much to the same averageness than episodes prior to it. There was many little details that didn't make sense to me. I mean, for example the "Plane..arium".. Should that refer to something or be funny? I just don't get it. I'll give this episode 3/10.
Episode 12: Clubhouses
Now this episode is one of the highlights of the second season. It has several memorable moments, like Bebe's remarks of Kyle's ass. I mean putting it into the context of 8-year old simple cartoon characters, it's ludicrous, but it'd be funny enough as it is. Fat Abbot just rules. Then there's Roy, who's dick. The subplot between Randy and Sharon is absurd, but it works okay. Then there's the recurring theme of Cartman doing better (although most of the time he really doesn't do any better in anything) when they set to do something. I mean, he gets hes' clubhouse ready before Stan and gets the chicks too, but doesn't get them to play truth or dare anyway. Something like this happens in later episodes many times, but I'll get to that then. I rate this episode.. 7/10.
Episode 13: Cow Days
This was another one of those sub-standard episodes - especially after Clubhouses. It really highlights the fact that this wasn't that good of an episode. It was as lame as the rides in the carnival. The Full Metal Jacket references is the best bit of this episode and they're pretty far-fetched. It's 1/10, I'm sorry.
Revision: Well, I see from my spreadsheets that I have rerated this episode to 2/10. Can't really remember the reasons, but to bee honest, this is that bad, so 2/10 is in order.

Season Two Goes On (Episodes 8-10)
Episode 8: Summer Sucks
This is another episode that's got nothing really special going on. I mean it's fun to watch when you got nothing better to do like all the other South Park episodes and there are couple of decent jokes, but there's still nothing special. On the storyline-side there's some stuff going on though, since Mr. Hat disappears. Chef's song "Simultaneous" is cool. Rating 2/10.
Episode 9: Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls
Well, pretty much everything of interest in this episode is Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls. I mean, everything revolving around Chef's balls must be good stuff, right? So it doesn't have that much of an interesting stuff going on but Chef's ideas and song are just great. There's couple of other decent jokes too, but on the overall there could have been much more. I mean, film festival setting leaves many potential jokes. But anyway, it's good episode, I'll rate it 4/10.
Episode 10: Chickenpox
Cartman singing "In the Ghetto" is just classic. If I remember correctly, there's proper version of this song later on in the show , but I'm not sure, I'm not nerd enough to remember it. It's a decent episode, but like a few before it, it lacks the cutting edge. There's nothing as prominent jokes as "Chef's balls" going on. Though I have to say that the asstransplans-thing on Terrance & Phillip is ludicrous. I'll rate this episode 2/10.

Season Two Continues (Episodes 4-7)
Episode 4: Ike's Wee Wee
Doing drugs is always funny. What is also funny is Mr.Mackey impressions from the boys, mmkay? Mkay. Mr. Mackey gets fired after passing up a marijuana sample to the class, and ends up doing all the stuff he was preaching against. As I said, it's when the things get funny. Mr. Mackey's tripping head floating by the boys is prime example of this. At the same time there's subplot about Ike's circumcision, but not much to say about it, expect for that this is the episode that Kyle finally learns the (obvious) truth - Ike's canadian. But in the end, it doesn't even matter. It rounds up to be quite a nice episode. I'll give it.. 5/10
Episode 5: Conjoined Fetus Lady
Well, that fetus is just disgusting. The dodgeball part in this episode was much more interesting and the fetus thingie just wasn't funny. When it comes to dodgeball, Pip really has it going on. At least when he's being called french. Pip singlehandedly leads South Park to world champions, but nobody gives a shit in the end. How suprising. All in all, this episode had it moments, but not as many as I would've like to seen. 2/10
Revision: I really underrated this episode. Yes, the fetus is appalling, but that doesn't really matter that much. After all, there's the great song made for mrs. Gollum etc. The conclusion after winning world championship is somewhat anti-climatic, yet funny. 4/10.
Episode 6: The Mexican Staring Frog of Southern Sri Lanka
This episode was rather dull and for me, it falls in to the same category as Volcano. For some reason, episodes with Jimbo and Ned as a main driving force tend to be boring. There was couple of semi-good Vietnam-jokes, but nothing that special. 1/10
Revision: Now I can't relate to my own opinions at all. I made a really poor review overall anyway. This is actually ok episode with some pretty funny jokes, it's just that it's a bit a mess and things get out of hand. But still, there's the black man talking about Michael Jackson, and the Vietnam-jokes are AT LEAST semi-good. I give it 3/10 now.
Episode 7: City on the Edge of Forever
This is a reminiscing episode. Now we've seen every show on earth pretty much having one of these, but this is bit different from what we're used to - the memories are somewhat fucked up. Kids gets stuck in a bus after and accident, so they start to talk about memories of bad situations they were. As I said they don't remember everything correctly, Stan is constanly kissing Wendy and everything has something to do with ice cream - in the end we find out that this was after all just Stan dreaming about Cartman dreaming. Man that's confusing. It's pretty much recycling old jokes with a twist and it's all fine. I'll give it a rating of 3/10.

Season Two (Episodes 1-3)
Episode 1: Terrance and Phillip Not Without My Anus
Now I'm not a fan of Terrance and Phillip and I doubt that anyone is that much of a their fan. So to think this comes in just when everyone was anticipating to see who's Cartman's father, I can only imagine the dissapointment. So it's a whole episode of Terrance and Phillip and it pretty much farting. Nothing funny here. One of the worst episodes made. I mean, I know that the whole episode is a joke itself, since it was aired on April Fool's day, but still. Well, there's one positive, the theme music at least is cool, too bad we hear it only at the beginning and at the ending credits. 1/10
Episode 2: Carman's Mom Is Still a Dirty Slut
While the first part of this two-episode story was a classic, I think this second part doesn't live up to the expectation. According to the Wikipedia this episode was rushed due to fans getting angered by the Terrance and Phillip-episode and I guess it goes to show. This episode relies heavily on repetition. There's the running gag "Who shot Mephesto?" "Who build the pyramids", etc. and Cartman's mom misunderstanding abortion. Se then sleeps with congressman, governor and finally the president. Nothing that funny that would make this a classic episode, but it's still an important episode in the South Park timeline revealing that Cartman's dad is his mom. Now that's fucked up right there. So it's and anti-climatic ending to all that wait. I rate this 3/10, despite all the negatives. There's a few decent jokes after all.

As a whole, this episode is nothing special. But the Cops-spoofing that goes on and expecially the scenes involving Cartman are just classic. The whole setting in this episode is plain absurd. At least boys acknowledge it in the end when the book mobile driver tells about his master plan. Simply because of the Cartman-scenes, I'll give it 4/10.
