Season 15, Episodes 4 & 5 - First Impressions

Alright, let's start with the fourth episode... It was okay. Nothing special, but actually our characters acting like they should with a not too crazy plotline, it was actually somewhat clever. There were times it was predictable and the episode got worse towards the end, but the idea was too good to get ruined by just mediocre execution. It had some delicious potential that was left untapped, but I was still amused, so overall okay shit. The best episode of the season so far.

As for the fifth episode... Crack babies? What the fuck? I mean, it's not that bad, it kept my attention for the lenght of the episode, but what the fuck? They have to be smoking that crack to make up this kind of shit. I guess I'm desensitized to shit already because overall the episode didn't bother me at all in terms of it's quality. But man, Slash and crack babies? Get outta here.

Even with two decentish episodes, this has been the worst start to the season ever of South Park.

Season 15, Episode 3 - First Impressions

Wow. I mean... The last couple of seasons has been pretty quick deterioration, but I couldn't see them hitting rock bottom this way right at the start of this season. It's like they have retards writing the show and Matt & Trey either don't give a shit or something has happened to their heads so that they don't realize it fuckin' sucks.

Whole subplot with Mr. Mackey... What the fuck. He was completely out of character, even with the ridiculous explanation. It's like they should have put Mr. Garrison to that role. But still, it wouldn't have worked.

Besides, couldn't they have come up with a better way to take the princess away than fuckin' blue cube just floating her away? WHAT WERE THEY THINKING?!!

Only good moment of the episode - and therefore the season so far was the start of the royal wedding. The commentary and all were funny for a moment. It got overstreched though and then it just all went to hell. Fuck.

Season Fifteen - Episodes 1-2 - First Impressions

It's been nearly 6 months since my last post here, I've been concentrating on other cartoons lately. I'm planning a South Park fansite which should be up by fall or at least winter.

Meanwhile, let's take a look at the two episodes of the new season.

Human Centipad:
What. The. Fuck. Seriously, if this is gonna be the standard, just stop the show now. I write a lot of random shit, but I could never write anything as terrible as this is. B-plot with Cartman was mildly amusing for some moments, but the mainplot... Are they really that out of ideas? Even my idiot brother, who normally likes this kind of lowbrow humor thought it reeked. I thought that Simpsons' Apple episode was mediocre and Futurama's one somewhat decent, but this takes the cake as a worst Apple-based episode and also possibly as the worst episode ever in South Park. Only thing funny for me was Cartman's talking in the car to try to get his mom to change her mind. The things about fucking seemed really forced but I'd much rather had listened to that the whole episode than watched that Centipad plot. Terrible, boring, too much weird shit... It sucked.

Funnybot:
Oh god. I wasted nearly and hour of my life with barely any moments of funnyness. I mean I can get it if they are not funny any more, but could you at least have sensible lots. I miss it when South Park had down-on-earth plots just revolving around the kids and the town's folk. Not fuckin' Germans and comedy scene. It plainly sucked, abandon all hope for this season being any good. South Park is fuckin' worse than Simpsons - as in, modern South Park vs. modern Simpsons. I just sat stone-faced all episode, just praying it would end soon. I don't know whether these take the cake as a worst episode ever, but this is at least worst sequence of two episodes ever.

Season Fourteen, Episode Fourteen - First Impressions

Well, that's that season and it ends with a fairly good episode. It really didn't have enough material for a 22-minute episode, but what it had was funny, but they had to resort to too much repetition. I think Randy's plot had potential for more, they should've just explored it a bit more and cut some Sharon bits that got really old fast. Nice callback to Chef as well, I loved that, really made me think of golden era for a moment and that's really cool. I think they should do more of that, make those connections with earlier seasons and stuff. The best episodes of the season, 200 and 201 were pretty much about that and it works, so keep doing that. Good stuff, and nice way to end a season. Overall I think it was probably a bit better than Season Thirteen, which isn't saying much as 13 was the worst ever. We'll see when I do the official reviews, probably in a few months.

Season Fourteen, EpisodeThirteen - First Impressions

Again I'm couple of days late, but still, here it is:

That was some crazy shit. Animation was enjoyable and it was for the most part well made, with nice twist in the end, but damn that was messed up, even by South Park standards. I guess comparing to two other episodes of this trilogy this was pretty good. I loved how Kenny went to sleep by shooting himself in the head.

It just contradicts with the fact that "Kenny dies all the time". I mean, the boys are aware of this usually, yet in this episode they constantly have no recollection of it. But it made for couple of great scenes. Overall it was decent stuff.

Season Fourteen, Episode Twelve - First Impressions

Season Fourteen winds down and we're treated with another quite mediocre episode. This was better than the last, but still, the quality is not acceptable. But it seems that they're not going to drag on for many seasons like the Simpsons, so hopefully it'll all end soon. It's weird to find yourself hoping one of your favorite series ends, just two years ago I would've had none of that stuff. Anyway, one of the problems of this episode was the reveal of Mysterion's identity. I guess that's going to split opinions but I think part of Mysterion's charm was that we didn't know who he was. Still it looked like the episode could amount to something considering Kenny. There was looong and boring scene when Cartman was on Ctulhu's belly - why did it go on so long? It felt like forever. And the episode is inconclusive? Does this mean we're going to see threeparter of this shit? There was mildly amusing Cartman song and couple of jokes hit the target. The episode was visually pleasing as well, but that's it. Mediocre stuff.

Season Fourteen, Episode Eleven - First Impressions

Well that was a mess. There were some semi-funny moments and references, but overall the plot just reeked random shit. All of the charm of original Coon-episode was gone. Things just happened randomly - like Cartman all the sudden beating two people up. I don't really get it. This was really bad. Captain Hindsight was dull and uninspiring - and does this mean that there's two episodes of this shit? Either way, it sucks. Another episode with such a bad premise or an episode without conclusion, pick your poison.
