The Simpsons Junkie
Not that anyone is interested, I had started a new blog. As I said I've been lately watching the Simpsons and now that has caused physical and mental addiction to it, similar to what I had back in late 2008 with the South Park. Therefore it's only natural for me to start a similar blog about it. I'll keep posting on this obviously.
This project has been very enjoyable for me, even though I didn't attain a big readership. I wrote for myself and that will be the philosophy in my new blog too. I now have so much knowledge on South Park that I think I could take on the biggest fans of the show and still hold my own. I don't know if I still deserve the name South Park Nerd, but at least I don't struggle with the continuity as much as the show's writers themselves seem to struggle. That's not saying much, though.

Season Fourteen, Episode Seven - First Impressions
I'm couple of day late on this one, but to be honest I haven't been paying much attention to South Park's recently. Don't worry, I've not done anything useful or productive, I've just been watching the Simpsons.. and while I knew that "Simpsons already did that", I didn't know they've already done that much of the same stuff.
But enough babbling, about the episode.. Well it was quite poor finish to this run. Very dull and predictable gag with Nathan was the worst thing. The documentary parody didn't work for me and the 'information' snippets did more to kill the momentum of the episode than to amuse you. Maybe I just have to face the facts that Towelie is used up dry towel, in terms of comedy as well.
Some commenters actually say that it's the worst episode ever. I don't know. There certainly wasn't anything funny in it, while the defending worst episode (at least for me) "The Pinewood Derby" had Randy as a princess Leia (still cracks me up). But yeah, maybe this episode's suckage will sink in when I do the 'official' reviews. Back to watching Simpsons for me. Why do anything when you can watch cartoons all day (and night, as in this instance)?

Season Fourteen, Episode Six
To be honest, this episoded didn't live up to expectation, especially when the first episode left such a big hype. I loved the beginning, but after that it got a bit of a mess. It didn't have the usual problems new episodes have, at least all of them, but it had different problems. I for one hated seeing Pip. Not because he was there, it was just that the guy was like ten seasons away and then his seen for 3 seconds before dying. I didn't like the very ending also. Mitch Connor is cool though.

Season Fourteen, Episode Five First Impressions
Holy shit. That's all I'm gonna say. This season just keeps on getting better. Hell of a cliffhanger in the end too, that's going to keep us holding our breaths for a week. Great episode, made me reflect some of the classic episodes. Some recycling, but hell, even recycling is better than what some of the last season's episodes were (this season's been a class apart though). Man, I can't take it. See ya.

Season Fourteen, Episode Five: First Impressions
Wow, what has happened to South Park? Another pretty damn good episode. I also happen to agree with Stan about Facebook. I've not gotten sucked into it, though. I guess "fuck off" is the right reaction to anyone asking about it. I laughed out loud for the guys jacking off -part. Great stuff.. There's nothing much else to say so it was great episode, really hope they keep it up. (Seriously, what is going on? Where's the stupidness of last season?)

Season Fourteen, Episode Three First Impressions
I've finally seen the newest episode. This season has so far been improvement over the last one, this episode proved it. It was as fucked up as they get, but it was also great stuff. There was moments that it reminded me of older South Parks, like the moment "What's ridiculous in this" while guys at the background were bouncing on their balls. The end was a bit abtrupt though. It was also surprisingly good for a Randy-centered episode. That said, there was some standard issues that newer episodes have had. I'm going to talk about them soon in a blogpost, so no more about that.

Season Fourteen, Episode Two First Impressions.
Well.. It was vulgar, it was foul, it was crude.. It was brilliant. I loved the idea of boys writing a book and the implementation was decent too. Funny how you can describe the episode pretty much like they described the book in the episode. The plot was well constructed for once and there was no total fuck-ups like recently has been the custom. Also the message was there and for once it was pretty valid not just Trey Parker pushing the meanings that he wants for words or shit like that. It got the nearest to early South Parks that the show has gotten in ages. Good shit. Hope they can keep this up.
